20th Time Out Live Awards - Music

2005 has been a spectacular year for live performance in the capital. Last year's Venue of the Year, Brixton Academy, held around 132 performances for over 660,000 eager music fans. With over 125 music venues now rocking the capital our Live Venue nominations were tricky (especially as last year's winners are barred from being nominated!) to say the least, and we all have our favourites. As with all our awards, we hope you agree with our choice. If you don't, then voice your opinions in the 'Other' box. Whichever way, help shape the music industry of the future.

One category which remains ours and ours only is the Critics' Choice Award. Our Breakthrough Live Act of the Year will be announced at the end of February, together with all the other awards. It will go to the act that we really feel made a difference to the sound of 2005, the act that had the most influence on the live music scene.
