Bepa

Fast food joints are habitual tourist traps. At first sight, they’re cheap and simple but by the end of it… Split is no different, cheap pizza slices on every corner. Bepa is a rare exception. A small venue on the main square, just opposite the old Town Hall, with a few tables outside, even fewer inside, Bepa provides food that is fast and surprisingly good. It actually promotes Dalmatian versions of fast food, such as squid, shrimp and small fish. There are also burgers and varied sandwiches, and not just the usual meat-and-bun stuff. It’s a little bit more expensive than those corner joints already described – but this is, in fact, food.
