Statue of the Cypriot Mother review Rate it

At the top of 141 steps is a statue in honour of all Cypriot mothers who lost their children in the struggle for independence from 1955 to 1959. The monument itself is disappointing to say the least, but it still affords a fine vantage point over the village. Note that the steps and viewpoint do not have a handrail for support, so it's a climb best left to the sure of foot.
