Agios Kassianos Church review Rate it

The original church, probably Latin, was built in the 15th century and burned down in 1570. Rebuilt in 1854, the present building is home to an exquisite panel painting of the Panagia (Virgin), dated 1400, as well as the helmet in which Kassianos, the saint whose name the church bears, is said to have been martyred. It is believed to have miraculous qualities and is donned by people suffering from severe headaches. The keyholder's name is Gia and she lives in the house to the right of the church.
