A short trek out of town, Koutsonikolias makes every kilometre worthwhile. It's housed in a traditional coffee shop and serves exceptional meze including highly unusual dishes, such as wild goose stifado (stew). And you won't have tasted anything like their grilled bread, dressed with olive oil and bitter orange juice.

Amazing! Amazing! And again, amazing! The atmosphere took me back to my childhood years. The food, exquisite traditional meze. I have tried a lot of places, this is now my favorite.
