Most curators would swoon if given stewardship of this museum, which is literally overflowing with an embarrassment of riches. Many of the exhibits are now stored outside as there is little room left inside for all the statues, wall carvings, tomb artifacts, tools and decorative wares that have been - and are still being - dug up within the local area. It's a small museum but one that gives a remarkable snapshot of the history of the region and its inhabitants, from Neolithic times right through to the Byzantine and Frankish periods.
