This lovely, restored old theatre offers an exceptional variety of events, spanning all the performing arts. Shows are often free, although it's a goor idea to book in advance.
Dear Sirs,
I attended last night the performance of "Don Quixote" at Rialto and concequently I would like to express my personal feelings concerning the play.
I think somebody wrote this to make money off the popularity of the book! If you didn't know the story you would not have a clue what was going on.
Awful play. There was no charm or wit and in parallel the main characters were too perfectly hideous to be in any way engaging.
It was also really boring and most of the audience seemed to be more interested in their mobile phones than the stage.
I was among the audience who gave up at the intermission and left the theater with contempt. I have one last aspiration to put on this e-mail:
I wish we had in Cyprus a formal Theater Critics forum as well as an informal Theater forum where people can express their comments on specific plays.
This way we can review and protect our selves from unneccessary pain, loss of time and lastly money on such an appauling attempts to attract audience and money.
Rgds,
Andreas
