Owned by the eponymous Panti, Ireland's doyenne of drag, PantiBar is an enormously popular addition to Dublin's gay scene. Housed in the former Gubu, the revamp has been minimal, but in inverse proportion to the injection of creative thinking. On any night of the week you'll find something fun and interesting happening from Make and Do-Do craft nights on Mondays, to Movies in Her Living Room on Wednesdays plus queer classics presented by Irish gay filmmakers to The Furry Glen bear night on the third Saturday night of the month. There's something for everyone here and almost everyone goes there at some stage in the night.
Panti is also a host of the Alternative Miss Ireland contest (http://alternativemissireland.queerid.net/homepage.aspx) that raises money for HIV groups.
