Pitching itself somewhere between a DJ bar and a nightclub, Dame Lane is a two-level, New York loft-style space, popular with club kids during the week and a hip, more professional crowd at the weekend. The bar downstairs is ideal for a quiet-ish drink, while upstairs is good for an incredibly loud drink. Neither really has a dancefloor, but that never seems to stop people, and as the night progresses, every inch of floor fills up. It can get claustrophobically crowded, but then, let's face it, so can pretty much everywhere else.
