Famously the setting for the opening chapter of Ulysses, in which Joyce mocks Oliver St John Gogarty as 'stately, plump Buck Mulligan', this Martello tower has been restored to match Joyce's description of it. Exhibits are a collection of memorabilia - walking stick, cigar case, guitar, death mask, letters. Best of all is an edition of Ulysses beautifully illustrated with line drawings by Matisse.
