Gresham Hotel review
A key part of Dublin's political and leisure history (it featured in the Easter Rising as a refuge and, later, as a hideout), the Gresham has been taking care of visitors for 200 years. The grand façade, vast lobby and charming bar are all elegant, but not overwhelmingly so; here it's all about comfort. A lengthy renovation has given this grande dame a badly needed upgrade, and all rooms now have luxurious fabrics in soothing tones, satellite televisions and all the usual four-star extras. The gargantuan, buzzy lobby bar is a popular local meeting point.
