A new, small-scale rock venue in the city centre, this basement bar (below the Mezz Bar) has a small stage, which puts the musicians and audience pretty much face to face. Acts here tend to be local rock bands on the way up, plus a few low-key international acts. Regular club nights like Skinny Wolves also play host to worthwhile Dublin acts such as Cap Pas Cap and Somadrome, as well as choice indie bands from further afield. Dublin needs small venues like this to give up and coming bands a chance, but the atmosphere is not high class, and the sound does tend to be woolly.
