Hotels in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik has seen so many high-end openings, it is hard to keep track of developments. First came ambitious Adriatic Luxury Hotels, starting the trend for off-the-scale sumptuousness. Their Hotel Dubrovnik Palace still wows while their Hotel Excelsior has benefitted from its full refit. They refitted the family-friendly Hotel Kompas before moving on to the Hotel Bellevue, one of the most impressive properties on the Mediterranean.

At the same time, the boutique hotel market blossomed, with newbies such as the Berkeley Hotel, Hotel More and Kazbek Hotel providing competition for five-stars such as the Rixos Libertas and Valamar Dubrovnik President Hotel. More recently, there has been the impressive renovation and reopening of the hotel Villa Dubrovnik and the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik.

With two- and three-stars being thin on the ground, those on a tighter budget or staying in town longer should consider apartment options such as Karmen apartments (great location and genial host), Celenga and Pervanovo Apartments.
