Gil's has recently changed hands, and the city's gourmets are agog to see how the new guard will change things. First major change is the name: 360Dubrovnik, named after its magnificent setting over the Old Port. Up until now it has also been known for its top-drawer setting, and top-drawer cuisine - among the best in Croatia. Guests have enjoyed meticulously sourced food, painstakingly created and immaculately presented, selections from a 6,000 bottle cellar - and, of course, the setting second to none. The terrace bar has the best cocktails in town. Unless things have changed radically, you should still beg for a booth in the gun chambers close to the sea. Watch this space for a full review once the new owners have had a chance to implement their plans for the place - here's hoping it maintains its top notch offering...
