The village of Bosanka stands some 200 metres above Ploče on a hilly slope of Mount Srdj. Outside the village on the Ploče side stands this traditional stone restaurant, recommended by locals. Spit-roasted lamb and game are the house specialities, but phone ahead and see what the chef might prepare that day ispod peke, slow-braised under a cooking bell covered in hot coals. Always check opening hours in winter. An irregular city bus now runs to Bosanka - but it's probably a taxi job.
