The Camera Obscura is a system of mirrors that projects a periscope image of the city on to a white disc in the centre of a small darkened room. Major landmarks are pointed out by the guides as they pan the lens across the city. While it's certainly no longer as thrilling as it must have been in Victorian times, the camera is an authentic working example of an historic visitor attraction. The Camera is preceeded by three floors of exhibits including holographs and morphing machines. Also impressive is the set of powerful telescopes housed up on the roof, which offer superb views across the city.
