At this pub down at Portobello beach about three miles east of Leith, this former hotel is an ideal stop if you've been walking along the Esplanade. You can get a decent pint of cask ale or a coffee and sit in the front garden overlooking the sands, head for the enclosed beer garden at the back, or just hang out in the spacious interior.
