The Abbotsford has been a no-nonsense drinking den since 1901: dark wood, bench tables, a fine central island bar, a decorative ceiling, some cask ales and virtually no concessions to modernity. The bar food here is better than you might imagine, but there's also a restaurant upstairs (called Above).
