Once upon a time, this bijou bar was the last port of call for Saturday-night desperadoes who weren't too fussy about the company they kept. However, a major makeover has transformed both clientele and venue, which now plays hosts to local groups and bubbling-under cult acts from elsewhere such as Crystal Stilts and Heartbreak. It's the perfect space to check out an act who in a year's time might well be playing venues five times the size. Gigs finish around 10-11pm, after which club nights feature dubstep and other electronic curiosities.
