This brick-lined basement space makes the most of the enthusiastic local support for innovative new music, providing the shot in the arm that the city's music circuit has needed for a while. The promoters get in top-name DJs like Erol Alkan and Hervé, as well as bands such as the Whip and the Long Blondes. There are great club nights here after the gigs have finished, and once a month the place is home to Glasgow's legendary Optimo club.
