Bongo Club review

A convergence point for the city's aspirant music, art and club scenes, the Bohemian Bongo moved to the former Edinburgh University students' union building in 2003. More or less anything goes at this café-venue. The calendar usually features a mix of eclectic club nights (reggae at Messenger Sound System, hip-hop at Headspin, punky noise at Fast), the occasional gig (look out for Scottish Hobo Society nights, which draw the cream of local performers) and all manner of other odds and sods. The venue is used for comedy during the Fringe.
