Another venue with a name that gives the game away, the Caves is an irregular but top-quality venue for well-heeled student types who hire out the place for one-offs, usually of a funky variety. The most regular draw is funk, Latin and afrobeat fiesta Departure Lounge (www.departurelounge.me.uk); on a very different level, Fence Records hosts an occasional Fence Club here. When it gets busy, it pays not to get stuck under the arches.
