Tigerlily really did break the mould when it arrived on the scene in 2006, representing the apogee of demotic chic near the height of an economic boom when anyone with a credit card could have the kind of experience usually reserved for the Victoria Beckhams of this world. The bedrooms are designed to the hilt, but somehow the effect isn't overwhelming; this remains one of the best-loved hotels in the city, to say nothing of its visually opulent bar, restaurant or nightclub. The place is best appreciated by a certain demographic of course; your gran probably wouldn't like it, nor that curmudgeonly uncle.
