Behind the façade of the former Lady's Glenorchy Church, between the Playhouse Theatre and the Omni, the Glasshouse has been delighting guests with its contemporary design, roof terrace (with views up to Calton Hill), comfortable beds and amenable service since 2003. The clean, modern lines of the hotel's design make for a cultured and classy atmosphere; the name is echoed in the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer impressive views over the city. It's just a stone's throw (no, don't!) from the commotion of the capital, but a world apart.
