Scottish Poetry Library review Rate it

Founded in 1984, the Scottish Poetry Library has been housed in this award-winning building since 1999, one of the unlikely architectural surprises concealed down Edinburgh's closes. Robert Burns is well represented on the shelves, but so are scores of other poets, writing in Scots, English, Gaelic or perhaps a language of their own invention. The library also has a small selection of books for sale, including works by local poets. Staff are happy to help with recommendations and will even try to help you track down a poem, even if you can only remember a line or two.
