Sitting along the Cowgate, this establishment is very close to the Royal Mile, although not actually on it. The bedrooms lack character, as you might expect of a big chain. But on the plus side, the hotel is a dependable outpost of a generally reliably chain, blessed with a very central location and professional staff.
