You name it, Edinburgh has a museum for it. Staffed by friendly coppers (indeed, it's a working police office), this small room has information on almost every aspect of policing in Edinburgh both past and present. Historic exhibits include a macabre business-card holder made from the cured skin of infamous grave-robber William Burke. During the Festival, the Lothian and Borders Police Pipe Band marches along Princes Street at 11am each weekday morning; some of the pipers head here afterwards and play for around 30 minutes.
