Hanging baskets of flowers outside, politesse inside: nothing changes at this classic Royal Mile tearoom. Along with your pot of tea, sample a chocolate crispy, a sherry trifle or a melting moment; the menu also runs to breakfasts, sandwiches and lunches. It's all very sweet and home-made, with cakes and biscuits your Scottish grandmother might have baked.
