This popular café draws everyone from skiving students to grannies out with the grandkids. The food menu runs to salads, baguettes and savouries; some of the teas and coffees are first-rate, and there's also a short and affordable wine list. The main room at the back has fantastic views out over the Old Town. Given the associations with JK Rowling (she wrote some early Harry Potter here), muggle memento photography outside the front door comes as no surprise.
