The nautical theme in the decor and fittings at Fishers, one of the city's leading seafood restaurants for two decades, is justified by the fact that the docks are on the doorstep; you can see working ships as you're walking down the Shore. Eat in the bar or the adjacent raised area, choosing from starters such as queenie scallops with wasabi and seaweed mayo, and mains such as whole grilled lemon sole.
There's a sister establishment in the New Town called Fishers in the City; the owners also operate the Shore, a nearby pub.
