In the 1840s, the Commercial Bank of Scotland built this grand old pile as its head office. There's a striking classical frontage, and the whole thing is crowned by the eponymous dome, now housing a bar and restaurant (the Grill Room); the building also has a separate and more discreet but very ornate dining space called the Club Room. Even with the recent outlandish bar and hotel additions to George Street, the Dome still has the biggest wow factor.
