Right at the heart of Edinburgh's gay scene, the welcoming, laid-back Blue Moon Café offers good food and drink. The staff are cute and sassy: ask here if you have any questions or need any information about what's on in the local clubs.

I had breakfast here based on recommendation in a guidebook, and was thoroughly disappointed. My eggs Benedict were served on stale muffins and completely swimming in hollandaise. Coffee was decidedly average as well. The place looks like it's seen better days too. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Edinburgh would not be Edinburgh without the day after brunch at the blues, and it is so interesting to see who ended up with who....
Food neatly done, lots of poaching and omega 3 type dishes for the old and the ancient as well as the halleliah i havn't croaked yet coffin dodgers but Colin does do a real nice pot of tea and a fry up for those in the know and with their faculies intact enough to dijest a bit of fried fodder.
Uber trendy chic and welcoming ;- thats only colinand the staff... this is a seriously nice upmarket deli type restaurant with attn. to detail. The food and variety are visibly pleaseing and in abundance. Make this your first port of call for a great meal.
