Launched in 2005 at Rose Street Lane North, Roti has always been far more than your run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant. Its tasting menu, for example, features dishes such as mango and chestnut salad, or roast duck marinated in coriander, black pepper and fenugreek. Success saw a move to bigger premises in Morrison Street in 2007, a year before original owner Tony Singh handed the reins to his cousin, Glaswegian restaurateur Ryan Singh. Debate continues as to whether West Coast populism has since overtaken East Coast finesse.
Open noon-2.30pm, 6-10.30pm Mon-Sat; 6-10.30pm Sun.
Main courses £13.
