Summer 2009 saw the former Claremont Bar transformed into a brighter and breezier café-bar featuring quirky art, bare brick, banquettes and a more feminine touch. It's less eccentric than in its previous guise, but with better food and tunes; you could pop in for a drink, or for cider-battered fish of the day with duck-fat chips and mushy peas. It's something of an oasis on the backroads between Broughton and Leith.
