Done out with chunky decor and bare brickwork, the family-run Rivage has won over the Easter Road locals. It goes beyond the basics to provide some elaborate starters and inventive mains (such as whole baby aubergines in a peanut-yoghurt sauce), while substantial side dishes such as tarka daal weigh in at under £3. A great neighbourhood venue.
