With its smart pink-and-black decor and waitresses in pinnies, this is every inch a modern take on the traditional tearoom. The teas and coffees are both great quality, the cakes are sublime, and the breakfasts (scrambled eggs with hot-smoked salmon) are joined on the menu by salads, sandwiches, soups and main meals. Lorna's is also one of the most child-friendly venues in the city.
