Chef Paul Kitching and manager Katie O'Brien made their names at Juniper in Manchester; when they moved north in 2009, their new venue instantly joined Edinburgh's top tier. The name comes from the dining structure at dinner (choice of two starters, one interim course, choice of two mains, another interim course, then a choice of two desserts). The decor is lush and the cooking extraordinary: white asparagus with caviar, dried cherries, cauliflower and shitake mushroom makes a starter, with the rest of the meal following in the same vein.

I agree with the masses this is a great addition to Edinburgh's restaurant scene. The food is so deliciously different ,its a tonic to be able to get something unusual.
