Edinburgh International Climbing Arena Ratho review Rate it
This multi-million-pound climbing arena was the biggest in the world when it opened in 2003, but soon ran into financial problems. After the local authority lent a hand, the venue was relaunched in spring 2007. Based in an old quarry, it's a hugely ambitious facility, with walls from 12m to 35m high, freestanding boulders and a suspended aerial assault course.
