Competitions
  1. No purchase necessary.
  2. One entry per person, no bulk or third party entries.
  3. Postal entries for competitions should be sent with your name, address, daytime telephone number, competition you are entering and answer to: Time Out Offers, Universal House, 251 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 7AB.
  4. Email entries for competitions should be sent to competitions@timeout.com clearly stating in the subject header the competition you are entering.
  5. Competitions are open to all UK residents (over the age of 18 in alcohol, tobacco or travel-related competitions, or in other cases as stated) except employees of Time Out, the companies or organisations with whom the competition or offer is being run, their agents or anyone directly connected with the promotion.
  6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged in the post or offered for delivery insufficiently stamped. Proof of delivery will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
  7. Prizes are as stated only and no cash alternatives will be given. However the promoter has the full and free right to alter arrangements or prizes should circumstances change.
  8. The winning answers and the names of prizewinners will be made available to those who send an SAE to the competition entry address. The decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. All entries and copyright in them automatically become the property of Time Out.
  10. All entrants to competitions and offers are deemed to have accepted these rules and agreed to be bound by them and agree to co-operate in any publicity that may arise.
  11. The closing date for receipt of entries is as stated for each individual competition in the magazine or online. The winner(s) will be drawn at random from all valid entries, and will be notified by telephone, email or post within two weeks of the closing date.

Personal Subscriptions
  1. You will receive your first issue within 1-2 weeks of the date your order is placed.
  2. You can manage your subscription and update your personal details at www.timeoutsubs.co.uk or by calling 0800 068 0050.
  3. To cancel your subscription please write to Time Out Subscriptions, 800 Guillat Avenue, Sittingbourne, Kent ME9 8GU. We shall then terminate the subscription at the end of the current period for which issues have been paid. For more information on when your subscription expires, please visit www.timeoutsubs.co.uk or call 0800 068 0050.
  4. Refunds will not be issued on subscriptions where issues are remaining; the subscription will end once paid-for issues have been despatched. You can nominate someone else to receive any paid-for unmailed issues.
Gift Subscriptions
  1. For gift subscriptions placed anytime up to 29th December 2009, the recipient will start receiving their issues from the first week of January.
  2. As part of the gift subscription we will send you a free 2010 Time Out Diary (worth £7.99) and a gift card for you to give your friend at Christmas. Please allow 7-10 working days for delivery, and please leave a suitable amount of time to receive these products before Christmas if you plan on physically giving them as a gift at Christmas.
  3. Personal details for the recipient can be managed throughout the term of the subscription at www.timeoutsubs.co.uk or by calling 0800 068 0050.
  4. Refunds cannot be claimed on gift subscriptions during any part of the subscription.
  5. If you subsequently wish to extend the gift subscription term, this can be done in 6 or 12 months instalments by calling our customer services team on 0800 068 0050.
  6. Gift subscriptions are available to UK addresses only.
  7. Time Out reserves the right to substitute an alternative gift of equal or greater value in the case of the offer being over-subscribed.
  8. This is a gift subscription offer and cannot replace an existing personal subscription held at the same address. The gift subscription must be sent to a person other than the gift buyer.


Additional terms and conditions for 'Win a trip to New York with Nature Valley' competition

Prize. There is one prize of a trip to New York. The winning entry will be drawn at random from the correct entries.
All entrants must be over the age of 18 and hold a valid in-date passport and visa for travel to the United States of America.
Employees of the promoter TravelPromos, Funway, Time Out, its agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion, and their families, are excluded from entering this competition.
Competition closes at 11.59pm on 28 August 2009 with winner notified on 03 September 2009.
The prize is for two (2) people only and includes return economy class flights departing from London, flying to New York City.
The prize also includes three (3) nights accommodation, and two (2) NYC City Passes.
Any additional meals, activities and personal expenses are the responsibility of the prize winner.
Travel insurance is not included in the prize, and the prize winner is responsible for arranging their own travel insurance. The prize winner must ensure they hold valid travel insurance to cover them (and everyone in their party) for the entire duration of the prize trip, and this must be both fully comprehensive and organised pre-departure.
All components of the prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize.
The prize is subject to availability, with the promoter TravelPromos and all prize partners included in the competition, to take no responsibility for any inconvenience or disappointment caused due to the unavailability of flight seats, accommodation or any other components to the prize. The promoter/s, accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by the prize winner/s or their guest/s in entering the draw or accepting the prize. The entries will be judged by an independent judge, with the judges decision being final. Should the prize winner be unable to accept the prize (for whatever reason), the judge will then redraw the entries and an alternative winner will be selected and notified.
