Bourne 4 on the way
Just when we thought Jason Bourne had crushed every crooked government agency there is to crush, we hear that Paul Greengrass has signed on to direct number four in the increasingly popular Bond-a-like franchise.
Matt Damon has also agreed to step once again into the boots of America’s foremost chop-socky amnesiac, but has to finish work on two other films prior to shooting a fourth Bourne: first up is another Greengrass collaboration, an adaptation of Rajiv Chandrasekaran’s ‘Imperial Life in the Emerald City’ centring on Baghdad’s Green Zone.The other film is Steven Soderbergh’s ‘The Informant’ where Damon plays a whistle-blower who testifies against the US government (Michael Mann’s ‘The Insider’, anyone?).
What Bourne still has left to achieve in his action-packed life remains a mystery, as by the end of his last film he had 90 per cent of CIA top brass with their metallic grey suit trousers around their ankles. Time Out predicts the fourth film will be called ‘The Bourne Incapacity’ and it will see Damon engage in a monumental row with his local benefits office who refuse to offer him back pay for the time he was suffering from amnesia.

- First three, outstanding! Number 4 and 5 must have a locus in western Europe. Lived there more than 8 years. Matt Damon, as much as I hate his politics, can be the only screen Jason Bourne for these future films. Don't bring it back to the continental U.S or to the Far East or Central/South America. Those won't work. Greenglass is essential to the success of any future effort and we will know the difference and will boycott wholesale anything less than the 'team" we know and love. Those with the proven record are our choice. Get these done before Damon is too old and gray for the part. Many other Robert Ludlum properties await production. Don't screw the pooch! - Matt Damon is the only one who can play Jason Bourne, if he was not in the 4th I wouldn't watch it, the Bourne supremacy was the best film but like someone else commented earlier they wrote out his girl too soon with the Russian sniper, they should of been together all the way through every film, the person who I think will be on the run with him for the next film is Pamela landy ex CIA who knows too much and they are out to kill her too...... - 4th and final has to be about his life before Jason, when he was David Webb, dying to find out what his life was before he became Jason, then somewhere throughout the film, he can come out of retirement and save the world again/beat up the bad guys. - I to am a Bourne fan and would hate to see anyone else try and take on the part! Matt Damon has made the roll what it is, can't the film makers see that and that without him the film will be a none starter and a total waste of money! So if he is not to be in it then don't even bother making 4! however, If your going to make it with him in it I cannot wait to see it as I never tier of whatching them over and over again!
