Harrison Ford tells us what to expect from 'Indiana Jones 4'.

During The TOMB's recent audience with Harrison Ford, we got him to talk about the long-mooted Indiana Jones sequel that George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Ford himself have been discussing for years.
To begin with, he gave the usual party line, saying he was looking forward to making the pic and was hoping to start filming before the end of the year.
But when quizzed further, he told us a little bit about what we should expect from part four:
'Indiana Jones is going to be older' Ford explained, 'And the story will therefore take place in a different historical period of time. We are not going back to World War II and the Nazis but I think that it will be relatively the same type of tale - George's special mix of Saturday matinee western serial and crypto-spiritual sort of stuff.'
He continued: 'George is the one who generates these movies. Steven and I make them. We come on board after George has prescribed the territory.
'Sometimes we don't agree and there was one script in particular that I didn't like so it was back to the drawing board. Now, after however many years, I'm delighted that we have something that we all have confidence in.'
So we definitely won't have a 63-year-old Ford pretending to be 40-years-old again, which is a good thing, though I still can't help but feel that Indy riding off into the sunset at the end of 'Last Crusade' was the perfect way for the series to conclude, and that part four is a totally unnecessary addition to the franchise. NO! they are about making that film for pure pleasure.
Im agree with brian, you cant ever pretend replace Harrison Ford for this movie. EVER!
Hollywood greed? Remember George Lucas? the anti hollywood producer? the man who build an entire film set on this ranch to avoid hollywood pressures?
I trust on Steven, i trust on George. 10 years looking for the best script tell me the dont wanna do a new-cheap-wannabe indy movie.
And i, who admire Indy since i have memory im more than glad to watch again one movie of this fantastic character.

No harrison no FREAKIN film ....We seen young indiana jones in last crusade, we've seen adult indiana jones in rotla and in Lc we saw over the hill jones....Besides he is in great shape and has enough endurance to have been the real indiana jones. He is the most realistic indiana jones possible , he is indiana jones. No man can escape from times grip, he is simply an older indiana jones. Replacing him is sinfull how dare you call yourself a fan. This isnt about affoarding a replacement actor. Of course they could affoard one!!! There is only on indiana jones and the films about harrison ford being indiana jones. Its painfully obvious that speilberg and george feel the same way because quote on quote they have said that indiana jones will be played by harrison ford and that the script meets those needs....the needs of indiana jones harrsion ford, who could never never NEVER be replaced. - I'm a huge fan of Indiana Jones movies... All of them. Big fan, have the comic books, ALL dvds, young indies on VHS, PLUS action figures...However, Im sorry. I'm also a very serious critic believing in justic with the pro's and cons, and I have to say. This movie is going to suck. No nazis. To the devils with it. Sure I'll go see it in the matinee, it aint gonna be good though. Im very sad when I read that interview saying there was no nazis. It aint gonna be good. Personally, as far as age goes, I couldn't give a rats if Harry was 75. He needs to do his job, he gets big bucks for this work. I know Harry does the character the best, and there's nobody on earth like him. But Georgie and Steve-o are multi-billionares probably. They can't TRY to find a younger actor? They did it with River Phoenix who played many roles in the young series, as well as the very beginning of last crusade. There's gotta be somebody out there. That's all I have to say. - i think your stupid and that indiana jones is amazing no matter how old he is, and the world is meaningless without Doctor Jones saving the world from the nazi's once again, it was indiana jones who ended world war 2, he was the atomic bomb. - I think it is a long-awaited continuance. Anyone who is a fan of Indy movies will enjoy it. With George Lucas and Spielberg back on board with Harrison Ford, you can't go wrong. As for a geriatric Indy, um, have you seen him? He looks pretty damn good for being able to be someone's grandfather, for God's sake. Harrison Ford has aged like a fine wine, and he is still hot. He scored a woman 20 years younger than him, didn't he? He's a great actor, and he is beloved by millions. If anything, it will be cool just to see him in another Indy movie.
