Dick pic headed for flicks

Paul Giamatti is in talks to play renowned writer Philip K Dick in a new film.

Aug  8 2006

The always impressive Paul Giamatti is set to play Philip K Dick in a biopic of the bestselling sci-fi author.

The star of this week's 'Lady in the Water' is in talks to play the renowned writer whose work has spawned a slate of hugely successful feature films, including 'Blade Runner', 'Total Recall' and 'A Scanner Darkly'.

The film will eschew a traditional biopic structure by combining fact and fiction and incorporating scenes from Dick's final, unfinished novel, 'The Owl in Daylight'.

Tony Grisoni ('Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas', 'Tideland') is set to write the script, while Giamatti will also produce through his newly formed production company Touchy Feely Films.

It doesn't even work - "flicks" has got an "s" on the end. How about "Pip Dick Flick is Biopic"? Posted on Aug 09 2006 09:13

That is the worst headline I've ever read, I suggest you sell Chris Tilly to the News of the World. Posted on Aug 09 2006 04:43
