Ace Ventura returns
The pet detective is heading back to the big screen without main man Jim Carrey.
Aug 15 2006
Morgan Creek is planning the most unnecessary sequel in history, hiring Jeff Sank and brothers Jason and Justin Heimberg to write a third instalment in the 'Ace Ventura' franchise.
Yup, you heard it right – the deeply average 'Pet Detective' flick (which was followed by the distressingly unfunny 'Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls') is set to get the threequel treatment.
And word has reached The TOMB that Ace himself, Jim Carrey, won't even be back, with the project set to revolve around Ventura's son who takes over the family business.
The mere thought of this film strikes fear into the heart of this particular film journalist, so fingers crossed it doesn't sees the light of day and I never have to speak of it again!
