Carrey and Diaz play 'A Little Game'

'The Mask' stars will re-team for this remake of a French comedy drama.

Sep  6 2006

Ever broken up with someone only to have your friends tell you that your ex was never right for you in the first place? Well that's part of the premise of new film 'A Little Game Without Consequence', the twist being that the couple in question are still in love and pretending to break-up as a prank.

Based on French flick 'Un petit jeu sans consequence', the comedy drama will star Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz, marking the first time the pair have teamed up since 1994's 'The Mask'.

The remake will be scripted by Allan Loeb and directed by Gabriele Muccino ('Remember Me', 'The Last Kiss' and the forthcoming Will Smith vehicle 'The Pursuit of Happyness').

Shooting is set to start in New York next month, though where that leaves the slate of other Carrey flicks recently rumoured remains to be seen.
