Romanek gives 'The Wolf Man' a go

The 'One Hour Photo' helmer will direct Benicio Del toro in a new adaptation of the classic horror story.

Feb  8 2007

Mark Romanek, who helmed the chilling Robin Williams thriller 'One Hour Photo', has signed up to direct 'The Wolf Man'.

As previously reported, Benicio Del Toro will star in the film, which will be set in Victorian-era Britain and based on 'Se7en' scribe Andrew Kevin Walker's script.

Speaking of the project, producer Scott Stuber said 'Mark has a great love of film. He's a great and authentic storyteller. He looks for the truth in the characters, the scenes and in the set design. It's going to be exciting to see what he brings to the horror genre.'

Romanek, Walker and Del Toro is an intriguing combination, and the fact that they are teaming up on a horror classic makes 'The Wolf Man' a mouth-watering prospect.
