Damon and Wahlberg step into the ring
Matt and Mark will both appear in boxing biopic 'The Fighter'.

Having collaborated to such impressive effect on gangster flick 'The Departed', Boston boys Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg are set to re-team for a boxing film entitled 'The Fighter'.
Wahlberg will play tough guy 'Irish' Mickey Ward, who fought his way up from humble beginnings on the streets of Lowell, Massachusetts to eventually become world champion. Damon will play his brother/trainer Dick Eklund.
Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson wrote the original screenplay, with Paul Attanasio currently doing a rewrite. There's no word on director or start date however.
