Latifah wants 'All of Me'

Queen Latifah is to star in a remake of the gender-bending comedy.

Apr 26 2007

Queen Latifah has signed up to star in New Line's long-gestating remake of the gender-bending Steve Martin/Lily Tomlin comedy 'All of Me'.

In the 1984 original, Tomlin played the role of a dying heiress whose soul inhabits the body of Martin's successful attorney, a twist that allowed the latter to play his 'wild and crazy guy' shtick to the hilt.

Writers Brent Goldberg and David Wagner have scripted a modern-day take on the story, while Latifah will both star in and executive produce the remake.
