Jim Sheridan boards 'Brothers'
The 'In America' helmer plans to direct a remake of Danish war drama 'Brødre'.
Apr 26 2007
'My Left Foot' helmer Jim Sheridan is in talks to direct an English-language remake of the excellent 2004 Danish war drama 'Brothers' ('Brødre').
David Benioff ('Troy', 'Stray') is currently writing the script, which revolves around two brothers – one a soldier, the other an ex-con – whose lives are destroyed by the experience of war and the latter's attraction to the former's wife.
It's not clear yet where the remake will be set, but with Sheridan on board, the hunt is now on to find three A-list stars to play the brothers and wife.
