Black goes back to 'Year One'

Jack Black, Harold Ramis and Judd Apatow are to team up for a new comedy.

Jun  4 2007

Judd Apatow, currently riding high at the US box office with the brilliant 'Knocked Up', has announced plans to produce a film with comedy giants Jack Black and Harold Ramis.

'Caddyshack' helmer Ramis has co-written 'Year One' with 'The Office' scribes Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, although plot details are currently being kept tightly under wraps.

Ramis will also direct the flick, which will feature Black and 'Arrested Development' star Michael Cera in the leads.

'With Judd Apatow, Harold Ramis, Jack Black and Michael Cera, the filmmakers have assembled an insanely talented group of comedians,' Columbia president of production Matt Tolmach said. 'We couldn't be more thrilled or excited by the way this project has come together.'
