Nicole Kidman to Appear in 'Fur'

The Australian actress is in talks to play American photographer Diane Arbus in a biopic of her life entitled 'Fur'.

Mar  7 2005

With Australian production 'Eucalyptus' recently falling apart for all manner of reasons, Nicole Kidman fans won't have to wait too long for her next project.

Comedy remake 'Bewitched' and political thriller 'The Interpreter' have both already wrapped, while the actress is also currently in talks to star in a biopic of photographer Diane Arbus.

'Fur', which is based on Patricia Bosworth's book 'Diane Arbus: A Biography', will be directed by 'Secretary'-helmer Steven Shainberg, and document the life and times of the eccentric photographer right up to her death by suicide in 1971.

'Secretary' screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson will reunite with Shainberg to work on the script, while Robert Downey Jr is also in negotiations to play a part in the film, which is expected to start shooting in New York in May.
